Amritsar: Filmstar Amitabh Bachchan visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, early Saturday morning, with son Abhishek and bahu Aishwarya.

 The Bachchans arrived at the temple to offer prayers in honour of the senior Bachchan's late mother Teji Bachchan, who died in Mumbai on December 21, after prolonged illness.

The entire Bachchan family reached Amritsar on Friday to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple and the Durgiana temple.

Heavy security cover for the family kept the media at a distance.

Amar Singh, General Secretary of Samajwadi Party and close friend of the family, accompanied the Bachchans on their visit to the temple.
