Jammu: A civilian was gunned by some unidentified militants in Poonch district, a defence spokesman said here today.
Four unidentified gunmen barged into the house of one Mohammad Shabir (42) in Jabri village last evening, he said adding, the ultras took Shabir out of his house at gun point.
After travelling a distance of about one kilometer from his residence, one of the ultras opened fire at Shabir, killing him on the spot.
Rashtriya Rifle troops have launched a search operation in the area to track down the militants, the spokesman said.
