'Bhutto's party to decide on elections tomorrow'
Saturday, December 29, 2007 16:05 [IST]
Islamabad: The party of slain Pakistan opposition leader Benazir Bhutto will decide whether to take part in next month's elections at a high-level meeting tomorrow, a top Bhutto aide informed.

"We will take a decision about elections in our central executive committee meeting tomorrow," said Sherry Rehman, Bhutto's spokeswoman and a key member of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) today.

Meanwhile, an official from Pakistan's former ruling party, which backs President Pervez Musharraf, said the January 8 general elections would be "meaningless" if the PPP does not take part.
