Teachers held for assaulting constable

Moga: Police have registered a criminal case on charge of assaulting and obstructing a police head constable by the agitating school teachers numbering over 24.

According to the police, the head constable Sukhdev Singh was on official duty for videography of the agitating teachers who were sitting on dharna blocked road traffic while they were protesting against holding of seminars during the winter holiday.

The head constable lodged a complaint alleging that the teachers not only manhandled him but also attempted to snatch his video camera. The head constable also alleged that he was insulted by the teachers.
