Jammu: A Pakistani national was today shot dead by Border Security Force troops near the Indo-Pak border as he was trying to sneak into the Indian side, official sources said.
An unidentified Pakistani national was crossing into the Indian territory via Allah Mian Di Kothi border outpost in R S Pura belt of Jammu district around 0400 hours today, they said.
The BSF personnel asked the intruder to surrender, failing which they opened fire at him, sources said.
The Pakistani national was killed in the firing, they said, adding the body was recovered by the jawans of 141 battalion of BSF.
