Gujjars seek special recruitment drive in J&K
Monday, December 31, 2007 13:35 [IST]

Jammu: Gujjars and Bakerwals today demanded political reservation and special recruitment drive for the communities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Urging the state government to grant them reservation in the legislature, Gujjar United Front Chairman Anwar Chowdhary sought a recruitment drive for the communities.

Addressing a Gujjar and Bakerwal mahapanchyat rally here, he lashed out at the successive state and Central governments for "depriving" the communities of their Constitutional rights.
