Hyderabad: India's security forces were capable of handling any situation and given their courage and conviction they will ultimately defeat the designs of anti- national elements, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal said today.
"Previously the countries fought for territorial gains, but today they are more interested in building their economy," he said at a function after reviewing the passing-out parade of the 31st batch of Sub Inspectors at National Industrial Security Academy near here.
"We have to defend both our territory and economy," he said.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is doing a commendable job in protecting the prime installations, infrastructure and providing security to VIPs, Jaiswal said.
The Minister, while congratulating the new recruits, asked them to devote themselves in maintaining the country's unity and fighting the subversive forces.
About 210 cadets passed out from the academy after receiving training in various disciplines, including science and technology, human rights, management and law.
