Krishna's wish to return to politics sparks debate

smkrishnaNew Delhi: Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna's desire to return to active politics ahead of the Assembly polls in Karnataka has sparked off a debate in the state Congress.

A section of the state Congress feels that the former chief minister's entry at this juncture could be counter-productive. Supporters of Krishna contend that he was the only one capable of taking the party to victory and has shown it in 1999 when he was the PCC Chief.

A senior Congress leader from the state, who is a known detractor of the Governor, claimed that:
