Thane: A highly decomposed body of a school girl was found in a nearby village, police said today.

On investigation it was revealed that the decomposed body was of one of the sisters who were kidnapped on December 18 last year from the powerloom town of Bhiwandi, they said.

While the younger one, Priya (7), had managed to give a slip to the kidnappers and return home within six hours, the elder one, Neelam (9) continued to be their custody, police said.

Meanwhile, the local police investigating the case yesterday got a tip off that a body of a girl was found in a highly decomposed state in the nearby Khoproli village. As the girl was wearing school uniform, police rushed to spot with Neelam's parents, who identified the body.

The police are now looking for the kidnappers who are still at large.
