New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi was discharged from a city hospital on Sunday after six days of treatment for a chest infection. The ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson has been advised rest by the doctors.
Gandhi, 61, was admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on January 1 with chest infection and breathing problems. Gandhi was being treated by a three-member team of doctors. “She has recovered from her illness and has been discharged,” said PK Rao, chairman of the board of the hospital.
