Chandigarh: The Union Home Ministry has issued guidelines for the use of State Emblem stating that it would be incomplete without the motto Satyameva Jayate inscribed in Devanagri script below the profile of the Lion Capital.
Stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana government said that a communication in this regard had been received from the Union Home Ministry.
He said that according to this communication, the State Emblem was being used by various government agencies on their publications, seals, vehicles and buildings.
He said that the communication received from Union Home Ministry has reiterated that the government agencies who were authorised to use the State Emblem of India for various official purposes should depict the complete picture of the State Emblem together with the motto Satyameva Jayate in Devanagri script inscribed below the profile of the Lion Capital as per the format circulated.
He said that instructions in this regard have been sent to all Heads of Departments.
