Israel gears up for Bush visit
Wednesday, January 09, 2008 11:34 [IST]

Jerusalem: As Israel prepares for the visit of George Bush starting today, the chef of the hotel in Jerusalem, which will host the US President faces a challenging task in his attempts to please the Hamburger-loving high-profile guest.

"You want to show up your talent and do your best, but the man likes Hamburgers. What can we do?", the chef at King David Hotel, told Channel 10.

The hospitality and banquet section of the hotel has been making frantic preparations ahead of the visit with food deliveries to be stopped today morning due to security reasons, the report said.

Bush, an avid Hamburger lover, even had it on the menu of the private lunch he hosted for French President Nicholas Sarkozy during his US visit in August.

Bush, accompanied by a 240-member entourage, will arrive today for a Middle East tour lasting more than a week to broker peace between Israel and Palestine.
