Fake currency recovered from Khanna district

Ludhiana: Four people were arrested and fake currency with face value Rs 2.2 lakhs was recovered from them in Khanna district, police said today.

Fake currency notes with denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 100 amounting to two lakhs and remaining with denominations of Rs 20 were recovered from them, they said.

The gang members identified as Narinder Kumar, Sunil Kumar (Khanna), Sonu (Saharnpur) and Mukesh (Delhi) were arrested and a computer and scanner printers along with chemicals used for preparing the fake currency were also seized.

They were using a rented room in Khanna for carrying out their operation, they said adding a case has been registered against them.
