Srinagar: Eight persons, including four Hizbul Mujahideen militants, were arrested in separate operations in Pulwama and Ganderbal districts, officials said today.
Four Hizbul militants were arrested in a joint operation by police and CRPF from Chewan-Keller village in Pulwama district last evening, they said.
AK ammunition, a jeep, some letter pads and a mobile phone was recovered from their possession.
In another operation, troops of 13 Rashtriya Rifles and police apprehended three suspected militants from Ganderbal district last evening, the spokesman said.
Troops of the same unit arrested another suspected militant, Hilal Ahmad, from his house at near Hajan in Ganderbal district last night, he said.
