Moga: Police have arrested three persons last evening on alleged charge of firing in the air on the VIP route and police recovered one pistol, live and empty cartrdiges of different bores and also took into possession the vehicle
Those arrested are identified as Narinder Singh an NRI from Malke village, whereas Jaspal Singh of Panjgrain and Jaswinder Singh of Panjgrain Khurd. All the three were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Moga today which remanded them to Judicial Custody upto January 29.
Police said today the accused were asked to park their vehicle in the field some 50 yards from the Moga-Kotkapura road by the duty police on VIP route. After 4.30 pm when the SAD's acting chief Sukhbir Singh Badal's vehicles passed, one of the accused Naridner Singh of Malke fired some shots in the air.
The police immediately rushed to the site of vehicle and nabbed all the three. On search of the vehicle police recovered some empty and live cartridges of different bores.
