Prachanda to contest CA polls in Nepal

prachanda_400Kathmandu: All central leaders of CPN-Maoist including its Chairman Prachanda are going to run for the upcoming April 10 Constituent Assembly(CA) elections in Nepal.

Prachanda is likely to be nominated for contesting the CA polls from Kathmandu as well as Sindhuli district in the western Nepal.

"Considering the importance of the Constituent Assembly poll, we have decided to nominate all central leaders as poll candidates," Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Maoist senior leader said yesterday, Kantipur reported.

"Since Kathmandu is the center of politics, we have decided to nominate our chairman for Kathmandu," he said, adding, In view of the value of our base area, we have also decided to nominate him (Prachanda) from one of the base areas of Sindhuli.
