Nairobi: At least 14 people have been killed in two days of clashes with Kenyan opposition protesters, police said today, vowing to crack down on a third day of demonstrations against disputed elections.
"A total of 14 have been killed," a police commander told.
Seven were killed in the western opposition stronghold of Kisumu and seven others in the capital Nairobi, mainly in volatile slums where hundreds of protesters clashed with police, he said.
