Pitroda meets PM; presents NKC's report

New Delhi: The high-profile National Knowledge Commission headed by Sam Pitroda today discussed with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh steps to implement various recommendations made by it.

Pitroda along with other members of the Commission also presented the "Report to the Nation 2007" to the Prime Minister.

 The Commission has so far submitted 160 recommendations on 20 issues which were under various stages of implementation.

The Commission has been working closely with Central ministries and state governments for implementation of its recommendations. The XIth Plan has allocated funds for education five times more than the Xth Plan.
