Ranchi: With nine of its districts bordering birdflu affected West Bengal, Jharkhand government is keeping a vigil on the health of poultry birds in the state.
"The situation in Jharkhand is normal and we are meeting regularly and continuing vigil on bordering districts," Animal Husbandry Department Secretary A K Sarkar told PTI here. He denied reports that the government might decide on culling chicken in such districts. "There is no report of any chicken death from anywhere in the state," he added.
