Kidney kingpin remanded to CBI custody till Feb 22

New Delhi: Dr Amit Kumar, the alleged kingpin in kidney transplant racket, remanded to CBI custody till February 22 today.

According to the report, seeking Kumar's remand, CBI contended before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjiv Jain that his thorough interrogation was necessary to unravel the national and international ramifications of the kidney transplant racket.

Earlier on the day, CBI produced Dr Amit Kumar before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjeev Jain at his residence here.
