Shiv Sena to oppose V-Day celebrations in capital

New Delhi: Shiv Sena today said it would oppose the Valentine Day celebrations in the capital as it was against the Indian culture.

Jai Bhagwan Goel, north India head of the saffron party, urged the youths not to take part in the celebrations on the Valentine Day , the festival of love, a release issued here said.

The Party has convened an emergency meeting of its activists to chalk out plans to oppose the celebrations, it added.

Goel said that if the organisers of Valentine Day celebrations go ahead with their plan, they will have to face stiff opposition from Sena activists, it added.
