Mexico: Five men were shot dead inside a bar in central Mexico by an unknown number of assailants, police said.

The men, who have not been identified, were found inside the Los Parados bar in Nezahualcoyotl yesterday, which borders Mexico City, said Mario Vallejo, a spokesman of Mexico State police.

It was unclear who carried out the killings or what was the motive.

The government news agency Notimex reported that three of the men were found in the bar s bathroom and the other two in a back room. At least two of the victims were holding guns.

Vallejo would not confirm the Notimex report. He said a man and a woman also were wounded in the attack.
