Monday, February 11, 2008 15:44 [IST]

Muzaffarnagar: A summons was issued here today against two persons including a BSP MLA asking them to appear in court in a case of sexual exploitation of Nepali girls.

Additional district Magistrate Sumit Chandra issued the summons against Bulandshahr MLA Mohammad Alim and Ahsan who are facing trial for rape and have repeatedly failed to appear in court.

The police had freed 48 Nepali girls who were working for Apollo circus, owned by Alim and Ahsan. They were charged with rape and wrongful confinement in June 2003 and have been asked to appear in court on March 31.
