Cong wins four seats in ZP, PS in Malegaon

Malegaon: Congress today won four seats- two in Zilla Parishad and two in panchayat samiti by - polls held yesterday defeating its rival Shiv Sena.

According to results declared today, Congress has won Ravalgaon and Dabhadi Zilla Parishad seats and Ajang and Wadel seats of Panchayat Samiti.

Mangulal Bapu Sonawane (Cong) defeated Shiv Sena candidate Vithal Sonawane in Ravalgaon while Dwarkabai Mali (Cong) defeated Sena candidate Manisha Mali in Dabhadi in ZP elections.

Sanjay Sonawane (Cong) defeated Rajaram Khairnar of Shiv Sena and Nandlal Shirole of Congress defeated Sena's Sanjay Shelar in Ajang and Wadel Panchayat Samiti polls respectively.

By poll were necessitated on Dabhadi, Ravalgaon and Ajang after caste certificates provided by the elected representatives were found invalid, while in Vadel candidate died in a road accident.
