Vadodara: Local organisations including the Matru Sanstha, promoted by followers of religious leader Asharam bapu today protested the Valentine Day celebrations inthe city.

Persons associated with the Sansthan today distributed handbills to college students at the M S university asking them to shun the western culture of celebrating love.

Some student Islamic outfit also opposed the V-day celebrations stating that it promotes 'consumerism and immorality'.
