Raj's son was busy partying
Thursday, February 14, 2008 19:22 [IST]
Mumbai: The day Raj Thackeray was arrested and released on bail, his son, Amit, 15, was attending a farewell party for the outgoing Std X batch at his school Manik Vidya Mandir of Indian Education Society in Bandra.

“Like his other classmates, he was having a blast. He was meeting his friends after a two-week study break, and was busy catching up with them,” said a school official. “He danced to popular Bollywood tunes and took part in a football match.”

Amit would be taking SSC written exams from March 12. “He is a good student and a budding cartoonist. His parents are very particular about his good behaviour and performance,” said the school official.

The farewell party started at 11am and lasted till 2.30pm. “He was very reluctant to leave his friends. He did not seem tensed and worried,” added the official.
