A new platform to boot India-Oman trade

Dubai: The Indian Embassy in Oman has set up an India Business Forum (IBF), which aims to boost trade and investment between the two countries.

The IBF is an initiative to bring together Indians and persons of Indian origin occupying prominent positions in business establishments in Oman to share ideas and information on trade and investment opportunities, a statement from the Indian embassy said.

The announcement of the forum coincided with the four-day India Show 2008,being organised by Oman International Trade Exhibition Company LLC, Muscat in collaboration with the Indian Embassy at the Oman International Exhibition Center.

As many as 25 Indian companies are showcased products ranging from foodstuff to utensils, textiles, handicrafts, leather upholstered furniture, plants and machinery, banking and tourism participated under the banner of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO).
