Mumbai: Fire broke out in a building in north east suburb here on Saturday morning, gutting it completely, fire officials said.

The fire broke out at about 0600 hours in the building belonging to the Everest Masala Company in suburban Ghatkopar, they said.

Eight fire engines and five water tankers were rushed to the spot which managed to douse the flames in about three hours, they said.

No casualties were reported in the incident and the cause of fire is presently being investigated, they added.
