Work in progress on alliance with AIADMK: Sinha
Saturday, February 23, 2008 12:56 [IST]

Coimbatore: Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha today said "work is in progress," for forging an alliance with AIADMK in Tamil Nadu for the coming Lok Sabha elections.

"I have nothing more to add. But work is in progress," he said when asked about reports that the party was working for an alliance with the AIADMK. The state party president L Ganesan has given a hint on the alliance, but it would be discussed and decided, he said.

Asked whether it would be morally correct to ally with the AIADMK, which had broken away from the BJP in the past, Sinha said, "if Congress can ally with the DMK, there would not be any other alliance unworthy or undesirable".
