LJP favours reservation to dalits
Monday, March 10, 2008 13:03 [IST]

Jaunpur: The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) today said it was committed to provide reservation to dalits and other backward classes (OBC) in the private sector.

LJP president and Union Steel, Chemical and Fertiliser Minister Ram Vilas Paswan completed his promises towards the dalits...the ruling BSP government is only misguiding the latter on the issue, Uttar Pradesh LJP unit spokesperson and media in charge Raj Kumar Ojha said addressing media here.

The BSP has no hand in providing reservation to the dalits either in the public sector or in the private sector, the LJP leader alleged.

He further claimed the restoration of the student union elections as victory of its party s policies and defeat of the BSP. Denouncing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the BSP, Ojha said, both parties were indulging in politics in the name of dharams and eminent personalities ...while, the former has been using the saints of Sanatan Dharam the latter has been busy gathering votes in the name of Dr Bheemrao Ambedkar, Jyotiba Phule and Sant Kabir Das.
