Hunt on for suspected Pakistanis in UP
Monday, March 10, 2008 20:31 [IST]

Kanpur: In the wake of increasing terrorist activities in Uttar Pradesh, security forces have launched an operation to hunt down at least 12 Pakistanis suspected to be hiding in this industrial city for over two years.

According to an Intelligence Bureau report, many Pakistanis, who came here to watch the India-Pakistan cricket match last November, did not return even after their visa expired.

They are believed to be hiding in different localities of the city, SSP Anand Swarup said today. The police have been keeping vigil at several sensitive areas to assist the agency in nabbing the suspects, he said.
