Nepal national daily's office bombed
Thursday, March 13, 2008 14:01 [IST]

Kathmandu: A national daily's regional office was bombed in Biratnagar by a pro-monarchy group, but did not cause harm to staff or property. The bomb was hurled from the southern site of the regional office of Kantipur Publications which publishes The Kathmandu Post and Kantipur dailies during a black out yesterday evening.

Pamphlets found at the site in the eastern Nepal town suggested that a relatively unknown pro-King group "Nepal Defence Army" was responsible. Last year, the same group had hurled a bomb at the office premises but it did not explode.
