New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today clarified that his comments on the "lack of democracy in political organisations including that of his own" was aimed only at the Youth Congress.
"I was referring to the Youth Congress," Gandhi told reporters emerging out of Parliament after delivering his speech on discussion on the General Budget. His clarification came in the wake of different interpretations given to his statement and AICC's comment that the young MP's views were "welcome" and there is always room for improvement.
Gandhi is the General Secretary in-charge of Youth Congress and NSUI. His remarks had suggested the end of the nomination era in the party organisation and a shift to the practice of democratic election of the office bearers.
