Small plane crashes north of Miami, killing four

Miami: Four men were killed when the small plane they were flying in crashed in Martin County, Florida, north of Miami, authorities said.

"The victims are all adult men and were possibly on their way to Lantana," said Rhonda Iron, the Martin County sheriff's office spokeswoman.

"It has not been determined what could be the cause of the accident. An investigation is taking place," she added.

The Cessna 172,built in 1999,was destroyed when it crashed into a field not far from a residential area.
