Islamabad: Pakistan naval ships are for the first time participating in joint naval exercises with NATO naval forces in the Mediterranean at the invitation of Turkey.

Pakistani ships Tariq and Moawin joined the NATO naval group at Turkish naval base Aksaz and are taking part in the exercises, which would conclude on Sunday, according to a message received here from Ankara on Thursday.
