Jamshedpur: Shiv Sena's Jharkhand wing has folded up with the resignation of its president and executive committee over party Chief Bal Thackaray's anti-Bihari stand.
Party's state president, Dinanath Pandey said they had faxed their resignation letters to Thackaray yesterday in protest against an anti-Bihari article Ek Bihari Sau Bimari by Thackeray in its mouthpiece Samna .
Pandey also dissolved the state committee and resigned from the primary membership of the party. With this, the Shiv Sena ceased to exist in the state, he said.
Pandey told reporters today that the entire Hindi belt in the country was in turmoil over the irresponsible remark against the Biharis.
Pandey, who won assembly elections thrice including twice on BJP ticket in 1980-85 and 1990-95, said he would continue to fight for Hindutva. Source : PTI
