Islamabad: Pakistani authorities today said they apprehended 23 Indian fishermen along with five boats for illegally fishing in the country's waters.

The boats were found fishing illegally inside Pakistan's exclusive economic zone, said a statement from the Maritime Security Agency.

The arrested fishermen will be handed over to police in the port city of Karachi for further legal action, the statement said.
