Obama criticise Bush's economic leadership

Monaca, Pennsylvania: Democratic presidential rivals Senator Barack Obama and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton sharply criticised President George W Bush today for failing to take the lead in addressing US economic woes.

Both praised the efforts of the Federal Reserve, an independent agency, to rescue troubled American banks.
