Six UML activists injured in Maoist attack

Kathmandu: Continuing their acts of aggression ahead of April 10 election, CPN-Maoist cadres attacked members of CPN-UML election campaign in Chitwan district leaving at least six party activists injured.

Cadres from the Maoist youth wing, Young Communist League attacked UML activists with crow bars and lathis at Khurkure in Birendranagar yesterday, UML sources said.

Maoists have been attacking party workers who enter areas under their control. Issuing a statement, UML central office condemned the attacks against its cadres by the maoists.

On Sunday, maoists had attacked Nepali Congress campaigners for the CA polls including a candidate Bal Krishna Dahal in Okhaldhunga in eastern Nepal.
