Bilawal leaves for Dubai to meet sisters
Tuesday, March 25, 2008 23:45 [IST]

Islamabad: Slain former Pakistani premier Benazir Bhutto's son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari today left for Dubai to spend time with his sisters there before returning to his studies in Britain.

Bilawal, who is the chairman of the Pakistan People's Party, was called to Pakistan last week amidst differences within the party over the nomination of the prime ministerial candidate.

Though the PPP initially said 19-year-old Bilawal would announce the name of the nominee, he did not make any appearances before the media during his stay in the country.

Bilawal's only public appearance was a visit to the National Assembly yesterday when PPP leader Yousuf Raza Gillani was elected the Prime Minister.

A statement issued by the PPP said Bilawal had left for Dubai from where he would proceed to Oxford to resume his studies.
