Kathmandu: At least nine people including five security personnel were injured in two separate blasts in Nepal, the Kathmandu police said today.
According to the police, an armed Madhesi group was behind the blast that ripped through a security van at Phulkahakatti area in Siraha district yesterday.
The injured were rushed to a hospital, they said, adding five people were arrested in connection with the yesterday s blast.
In another blast, four civilians were injured in Birgunj of Parsa district. Madhesi Mukti Tigers has taken responsibility for the blast, police said.
Meanwhile, responding to Nepalese government's call, four armed groups -- the Madhesi Mukti Tigers, the Tarai Cobra, Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha and Samyukta Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha -- have said that they have formed a four-member team to initiate dialogue.
They agreed to sit for a dialogue in context of the government's assurance to provide universally accepted rights to the Madhesis, said a joint press release issued by the armed groups. Source : PTI
