Thursday, March 27, 2008 23:27 [IST]

Karachi: Two personnel of Pakistan's Intelligence Bureau and two policemen were gunned down in two separate incidents here today, a senior police official said. Karachi's Police Chief Niaz Siddiqui said the two sleuths were shot dead by unidentified assailants near Regal Chowk at about 7.30 pm.

They were shot from close range while they were alighting from a motorcycle and died instantly, he added. Siddiqui described it as a case of "targeted killing". Reports said the two officials were involved in investigating terrorist attacks.

In the second incident, unidentified gunmen in a car fired indiscriminately near the headquarters of the Airport Security Force, killing two policemen.
