Friday, March 28, 2008 14:05 [IST]

New Delhi: A Delhi Police constable was injured on Friday when his colleague shot at him outside Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's office here.

Head constable Suraj fired the shot at the lower body of constable Sanjiv in front of the office, Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said. "We don't know which part of his body got the bullet, most probably it's the thigh."

Sanjiv has been admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital. It was not clear if the firing, which took place around 12 noon, was an accident.
