Bus plunges into Chinese river, 13 killed
Saturday, March 29, 2008 14:22 [IST]
Beijing: A long-distance bus collided with a van and plunged off a road into a river in central China, killing at least 13 people and injuring 10, a state news agency said today.

The bus fell 15 metres into the river yesterday in Hunan province, the Xinhua News Agency said. It was bound for the southwestern city of Chongqing from Shenzhen, a city near Hong Kong.

Police said the bus, with 33 people aboard, hit the van while overtaking it on a road and fell "due to its own misoperation," Xinhua said.
