Security boosted at Dutch consulate in Pak
Saturday, March 29, 2008 22:08 [IST]

Karachi: Police are tightening security around a Dutch consulate in Pakistan after Muslims angrily protested a Dutch lawmaker's anti-Quran film.

Arif Ahmed Khan, a top Karachi security official, said security has also been raised around Dutch businesses. He advised Dutch diplomats to keep a low profile.

About two dozen students burned an effigy of lawmaker Geert Wilders in front of the Karachi press club today, a day after hundreds protested across Pakistan.
