One injured in Kathmandu blast ahead of polls
Thursday, April 03, 2008 14:19 [IST]
Kathmandu: A bomb explosion in the Nepalese capital has left a civilian injured, just a week before the Himalayan country holds the crucial Constitutional Assembly polls.

The explosion occurred near Gongabu Bus Park last night, police said, adding one person was injured.

No one claimed responsibility for the blast, which prompted authorities to further beef up security in the capital in view of the April 10 polls.
