Thursday, April 03, 2008 21:26 [IST]
Beijing: China today hoped to further deepen its military cooperation with Pakistan which Beijing considers as its "all weather" friend.

Chinese Defence Minister General Liang Guanglie told Pakistan's Chief of Naval Staff Admn Muhammad Afzal Tahir here that the defence departments and militaries of the two countries have been maintaining long term exchanges and multi-level cooperation in a wide range of fields.

He hoped that the two countries would make joint efforts to further promote their strategic cooperation, official Xinhua news agency said.

Referring to the "sound" political and military relations between the two nations, Tahir said Pakistan was ready to work with China to enhance the military partnership.
