Five wounded in bomb blast in Nepal

Kathmandu: At least five people were wounded after unidentified attackers lobbed a bomb at a busy bus station in a southern Nepal city, ahead of a crucial election scheduled for April 10.

Birgunj city's chief government administrator Bhola Siwakoti said unidentified attackers threw the bomb at the bus terminal today wounding five people, and fled the scene.

Police are investigating the attack.

Birgunj is a key city 160 kilometres south of the capital, Kathmandu. It is the main entry point for fuel and other supplies from neighbouring India to landlocked Nepal.
