Three blasts heard in Sanaa residential complex
Monday, April 07, 2008 09:07 [IST]
Sanaa: Three blasts were heard in a residential complex of Yemen's capital housing the headquarters of a formerly US-owned oil firm, residents said, but the cause was not immediately clear.

The compound -- where US oil experts are believed to live, although this could not be immediately confirmed -- houses the offices of Safer oil company, the former Hunt Oil firm, which is now owned by Yemen.

Police cordoned off the area of the explosions in the Al-Hadda neighbourhood of southwestern Sanaa, residents said.
