UN hails "peaceful" voting in Nepal polls

United Nations: Congratulating the people of Nepal for "generally orderly" and the "peaceful" manner in which they conducted the Constituent Assembly elections today, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged all parties to remain calm while awaiting the results.

"He commends the Nepalese for their enthusiastic participation in this historical event and appeals to all parties to remain calm while awaiting results," Ban's spokesperson said.
